Muthoni Mwangi (b.1997) is a Kenyan visual research artist and founder of Cozy Culture Kenya, a platform integrating mutual aid and intentional rest into the creative process. Using her signature "Narrative Boxes," she acts as an archivist and storyteller, reassembling fragments of history, architecture, and memory to explore how global cities are formed. She is currently developing a major multidisciplinary residency in the Lamu Archipelago to research the ancient roots of Swahili culture and the arrival of Islam. Through her work and advocacy, Mwangi builds immersive worlds that honour untold stories and challenge how we imagine the future.
