Alfredo Rodríguez Rivas has collaborated as a columnist and translator for the Kamite publishing company and other comic publication organisations. He started out as a scriptwriter for Fan The Flame Studios in the United States, an experience that led to him being selected to write the new title, Kalimán: El Despertar, a six-part miniseries that aims to modernize the character and bring his adventures into the 21st century, while respecting the importance and values of a classic of the Mexican comic.
