Juan Carlos Casas Castillo (Queretaro, 1984). He holds a degree in Performing Arts/Acting from the UAQ. He has been a beneficiary of the APOYARTE programme three times and of the Support for Cultural Creation and Projects System. He received a special mention for his acting performance at the Queretaro State Theatre Showcase in 2017. He began his career as a playwright with his own theatre company and has continued to specialise in the field through courses and workshops since 2008. His current interest lies in narrative as a means of exploring other forms of storytelling. Pajarito is his first novel.
