Carlos TALANCÓN

Carlos Talancón Sánchez, born in Mexico City in 1981, studied Dramatic Literature at UNAM and Creative Writing at Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona). His plays have been presented at venues such as the Teatro Helénico, Foro de las Artes (CENART), and the Teatro Julio Castillo (INBA). His play La Crianza was recognized by the ACPT as the best work of Mexican drama in 2016 and recently premiered in Spain. His play Estúpida historia de amor en Winnipeg was adapted into a film script with support from IMCINE. He was a fellow of the Foundation for Mexican Literature (2008) and a lecturer at UNAM. He has lived in Queretaro since 2020 and won the Eraclio Zepeda National Short Story Award in 2024 with Vislumbres.
