After a long professional career in various multinational companies, Jorge Molist decided to return to his vocation as a writer and in 2000 published the novel Los muros de Jericó, followed by Presagio (2003) and, in 2004, El anillo (The Ring), which was published in more than 20 languages. He won the Alfonso X el Sabio Historical Novel Prize in 2007 with La reina oculta. In 2018, he won the Fernando Lara Novel Prize with Canción de sangre y oro. This award was followed by La reina sola (2021) and El latido del mar> (2023). Jorge Molist has just brought out his latest book El Español.
