An Economics graduate from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) with a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is currently Director of the School of Government and Public Policy, as well as Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at the PUCP and Principal Researcher at the Institute of Peruvian Studies. In the public sector, she is a member of the Board of Directors of the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. In the past, she has held various positions on decision-making bodies such as the Consumer Protection Chamber of INDECOPI, the Dispute Resolution Tribunal of OSITRAN, and the Board of Directors of OEFA. She has also been elected chair of several academic associations, such as the Peruvian Economic Association and the Permanent Seminar on Agrarian Research. She has also served as Director General of the Institute of Peruvian Studies. Her academic work has focused on information and communications technologies, the regulation of infrastructure sectors and economic development issues.
