She holds a PhD in Hispanic Literature from Yale University (2017), specializing in Spanish American colonial literature. She is a lecturer in the Linguistics and Literature section of the Department of Humanities at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Her research interests include transatlantic studies during the early modern period, piracy, hagiography and cultural relations between Spain and England during the 16th and 17th centuries.
