He holds a degree in Architecture from the National University of San AgustÃn in Arequipa (UNSA). He also has a Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) from the State University of New York (SUNY/ESF) and Syracuse University (SU), and a Master of Science (MSc) in Urban Environmental Management from Wageningen University & Research (WUR) - Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS) in the Netherlands. He was a former faculty member and dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at UNSA.
