She holds a PhD in Bioscience and Biotechnology from the University of Padua, Italy. She specializes in Bioinformatics and has a Master's degree in Computer Science. Currently a senior lecturer at the PUCP and a Renacyt Level 3 researcher, she has completed research stays at EMBL-EBI (United Kingdom). In 2021, she received the L'Oréal-UNESCO-Concytec-ANC Award For Women in Science in the Rising Talents category.
