Full professor at the National University of Colombia, affiliated with the Institute of Political Studies and International Relations, and linked to the Institute of Urban Studies. His areas of interest are contemporary international conflicts; global history; the relationship between identities and violence; and political disputes between cities and states. He has published more than a dozen books, various chapters in different books, and articles in indexed journals and various media outlets. His recent publications include La Guerra Global Invisible. Ucrania, el mundo y el retorno de los imperios (The Invisible Global War: Ukraine, the World, and the Return of Empires) and Ciudades y Estados. Tensiones histórico-políticas inevitables (Cities and States: Inevitable Historical-Political Tensions), among others.
