Fernanda Pineda is a Colombian photographer and documentary filmmaker renowned for her profound and collaborative approach to rural territories in Latin America. Her work explores the relationships between memory, spirituality, gender and the environment. As a documentary photographer, her work has garnered international recognition, including the Gabo Photography Award, and she has been a finalist for POY Latam and the Festival della Fotografia Etica di Lodi. Her series have been exhibited at venues such as Photoville, PhotoVogue, the Bronx Documentary Center, FOLA, ARTEXARTE and ArtBo, among other specialized photography festivals in Latin America and Europe. Her approach combines careful observation, building trust, and a visual narrative that moves between the intimate and the political. In the field of film, she is the co-founder of Páramo Films, where she has directed and co-directed projects exploring spiritualities, territories and collective memories. Her work in film has been screened at international festivals, receiving numerous awards, and is notable for integrating documentary elements with poetic language that addresses cultural tensions and processes of community healing. In parallel, for over ten years she has worked in the design and creation of visual narratives for humanitarian and international cooperation organizations in the region. Her experience includes training local teams, supporting community processes, conducting field research, and producing content that seeks to raise awareness of social, environmental and human rights issues from an ethical, respectful and participatory perspective.
