Nicole SÁNCHEZ CASTILLO

Nicole Sánchez Castillo is a writer, linguist and literary scholar who graduated from the University of Cartagena. She is the author of Belo: un héroe del campo (Belo: A Hero of the Countryside), Solo quedaron las cáscaras (Only the Shells Remained), ¡Vuela alto, Emma! (Fly High, Emma!) and Hija (Daughter). Her work, which encompasses both children's literature and adult fiction, explores the traces of armed conflict, gender violence, and other forms of inequality that permeate everyday life in Latin America. Through the creation of digital content and linguistic outreach on her social media, Nicole loves to build bridges between knowledge and sensitivity, between academic reflection and the emotion that language awakens.
