Nancy Huston was born in Canada in 1953. Her mother tongue is English, but she writes her books in French. She has published numerous essays, novels and plays, including Instruments of Darkness (1998), Birthmarks (Femina Prize 2006, first edition in Spanish, 2008), The Angel's Footprint (2009), Stone Lips (2019); Tree of Oblivion (2022); and I Will Call You France (2025).
