Yvonne Adhiambo Owuor is a Kenyan writer whose mythopoetic prose has reshaped African and global literatures. Winner of the Caine Prize for African Writing for The Weight of Whispers, she is author of Dust and The Dragonfly Sea, works that braid Kenya’s histories with an expansive Afro-Asian imagination. A founder of The Elephant and co-founder of Macondo Literary Festival, she advances African-centred storytelling across literature and film. Formerly executive director of Zanzibar International Film Festival, she is a global keynote voice on poetic geopolitics and worldbuilding.
