Cristina MONGE

A political scientist and sociologist with a doctorate from the University of Zaragoza, specializing in sustainability, democratic quality and the governance of the ecological transition, Cristina Monge researches and advises institutions linked to democratic and environmental innovation and teaches at the Complutense University of Madrid. Since 2020, she has chaired the Más Democracia association and is a regular political analyst for media outlets such as infoLibre, El País, Cadena SER and RTVE. She is the author of, among other works, 15M. Un movimiento político para democratizar la sociedad (PUZ, 2017) and of La gran oportunidad. Cómo acelerar la transición ecológica y fortalecer la democracia (Tirant lo Blanch, 2025) and co-edited the collection Más Cultura Política, Más Democracia (Gedisa). In 2025 she received the Human Rights Association Award in the Communication category.
