Claudia Apablaza (Rancagua, 1978) is a writer, published and holder of a PhD in literature. She has published the novel La siembra de nubes (Almadía, Spain, Mexico; Seix Barral, Chile, 2025); the autobiographical essay Historia de mi lengua (Comisura, Overol, 2023); the novels Diario de quedar embarazada (EdicionesB - Random House, 2017), Goo y el amor (2013), which received the Cuban Alba Prize for fiction for authors under 40 from Latin America and the Caribbean; and Diario de las especies (2008). The short story collections Todos piensan que soy un faquir (2013), Siempre te creíste la Virginia Woolf (2011), and autoformato (2006). Her books have been published in Spain, Mexico, Chile, Peru, the United States, Venezuela, Italy and Cuba. She is the founder of Los libros de la Mujer Rota and lives in Madrid.
