María José SOLANO

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Art History from the University of Seville. She also holds a diploma in Portuguese and an MBA in Cultural Management from the University of Salamanca. She has taught courses on Cultural Heritage in the Department of Tourism and Contemporary Art at the Leonardo da Vinci School, as well as Art History courses in the Master’s Program in History Painting at Nebrija University. She worked for 10 years at the Royal Spanish Academy.
An art historian and co-founder of the digital literary magazine zendalibros.com, she is co-editor of the Zenda-Edhasa collection of classic novels and a columnist for ABC and Ethic. She is the author of the literary guide Jerez, the travel book Una aventura griega (A Greek Adventure), a series of literary travel essays collected under the title La mujer que besó a Virgilio (The Woman Who Kissed Virgil), and the book of erotic short stories Geografía del deseo (Geography of Desire), co-authored with journalist Jesús Calero.
