Chryssa Georganta is a Greek theater director who has been living and working in Madrid, Spain, for the past few years. She studied Greek Civilization, holds a Master’s degree in Theater with a specialization in ancient Greek and Roman theater, and is a doctoral candidate at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) in Arts: Production and Research. She teaches Ancient Drama in schools in Spain, Greece, Cyprus, and other Latin American countries. In 2005, she founded her own company, CONXOBANX, with which she has staged many plays. Her play Medea Dark Matter was presented at the Conde Duque as part of the Ellas Crean Festival. She has developed the Θήτα (Zíta) method, a technique for approaching and analyzing tragic texts that deepens actors’ relationship with tragedy and their ethical and artistic awareness.
