Marta Robles is a journalist and writer. She has built a solid career in print, radio, and television. She has directed and hosted news and cultural programs on the most important media outlets (TVE, Telecinco, Antena 3, La Ser, Onda Cero, etc.) and contributed to all kinds of publications (Tiempo, Panorama, Man, Woman, Elle, XL Semanal, La Gaceta de Salamanca, La Vanguardia Magazine, Archiletras, Classpaper, and La Razón, among others). As a writer, she has published more than twenty books, including essays, biographies, popular science works, and fiction. In the realm of fiction, in addition to winning the Fernando Lara Novel Prize in 2013 for Luisa y los espejos, she has made a name for herself particularly in the crime genre with titles such as A menos de cinco centímetros—a finalist for the Silverio Cañada Memorial Prize from the Gijón Writers’ Association— La mala suerte—a finalist for the Cartagena Negra Novel Prize and winner of the Aragón Negro Festival Special Prize—and La chica a la que no supiste amar—winner of the 2019 Castellón Letras del Mediterráneo Narrative Prize and the 2021 Alicante Noir National Literature Prize—to which she adds the latest installment in the series: Amada Carlota.
