Founded in 2018, the DIF Carmelita Ballesteros Community Orchestra is one of the community music education projects supported by the Querétaro State Ministry of Culture, which promote the artistic, personal and social development of children and young people through orchestral practice. Under the direction of Maestro Roberto Morales, this ensemble is based at the Carmelita Ballesteros Social Welfare Centre, part of the State DIF system, and serves children in care within this system, offering them a space for learning, discipline and social interaction through music. Throughout its history, the orchestra has taken part in various performances and cultural activities, representing the efforts of a community that sees music as a tool for integration and growth.
