Gillian Clarke is the current National Poet for Wales. Recent books include a prose collection, At the Source, a collection of poems, A Recipe for Water, and a novel and a memoir by Kate Roberts translated from Welsh. She is president of Ty Newydd, the Writers’ Centre in North Wales, which she co-founded in 1990.
