Raquel Ortiz Ledesma holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Humanities from the Tecnológico de Monterrey, as well as a PhD in Human Rights from the University of Deusto (Spain). She has dedicated her career to teaching, research and the development of projects that bring the university closer to communities and social organisations. Her main areas of interest are human rights, feminism, the care economy and education. She is currently Director of Social Education and a lecturer at the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She believes that books are a way of connecting with other people and that the best conversations arise when literature engages with everyday life.
