Ana Llerena (born 2004, Mexico City) is an illustrator who finds in imperfection an honest language for telling real stories. Her style is free and expressive; she prioritises spontaneity over perfection, powerfully capturing the everyday, the vulnerable and the deeply human. This work marks her fourth publication and her second book in collaboration with Isabel Gamma. In every project, the illustrator aims for her illustrations to complement the text authentically and to connect in a simple yet profound way with everyone who sees them.
