Adrian DE LEON

is a writer, poet, critic, and public historian. He is the author and editor of six books, including barangay: an offshore poem (2021) and Notes from a Wayward Son: A Memoir (2026). In partnership with PBS Digital Studios and the Center for Asian American Media, he was the co-host of two programs, A People’s History of Asian America (2021) and the first season of the Emmy- and NAACP Image Award-nominated Historian’s Take (2022). Born in Manila and raised in Toronto, he has lived and worked in Honolulu, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Vancouver. He lives in New York, where he teaches American and Philippine histories at New York University.
