is the Associate Director of the Rainer Schulte Center for Translation Studies at the University of Texas at Dallas and a 2025 NEA Translation Fellow. She is the author of Each of Us Killers and the translator of Gujarati short-story pioneer Dhumketu's collections, Ratno Dholi and The Shehnai Virtuoso. Her research spans translation studies, postmodernism, and the global historical novel, and her writing has appeared in The Paris Review, The Washington Post, and The Guardian. She also founded and edited the multimedia literary forum Desi Books (2020–2023).
