is a writer born in London who lives in Buckinghamshire. Will splits his time between freelance editorial work, teaching creative writing as well as working on his own poetry and fiction. He was named as one of the Faber new poets in 2014, made an album, Chalk Hill Blue, with the composer Hannah Peel setting a suite of his poems to her music in 2019, won the Laurel Prize for Best Debut for his poetry collection Country Music in 2020 and was named one of the Observer’s Top 10 debut novelists in 2021 for his book, The Paper Lantern. Will teaches a regular workshop at OmVed gardens in North London, has been a mentor for a young writer with the Folio Academy and is poet-in-residence for the nature-writing journal Caught by the River. He also happens to be editor for Rough Trade Books too.
