A native of Tacna, she is an educator, sexologist, poet, actress and cultural manager. She holds a doctorate in Education and a Master's degree in Sexology from the University of Alcalá de Henares; she is the author of the poetry collection Cantos de Sombra y Luz — winner of the national Horacio competition— and has had her work included in various national and international anthologies. She is a member of the poetry collective La Voz de Ellas, is an actor and playwright with the Tacna Theatre Group, and formerly served as Head of the Tacna Department of Culture.
