Working across sculpture, ceramics, video, and performance, she uses material play and gesture to explore how identity is shaped through nostalgia, family history, and what it means to be human. Anaya Martinez received an MFA in Studio Art from Texas Christian University in 2023 and a BFA in Studio Art from Texas Woman’s University in 2013. Her work has most recently been presented in solo exhibitions at Taber Art Gallery in Holyoke, Massachusetts (2025) and Cluley Projects in Dallas, Texas (2024), and she has participated in residencies at Wassaic Project in Wassaic, New York (2025) and Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont (2024).
