Andy Robinson was born near Liverpool in 1960 and received his degree from the London School of Economics. He started to work as a journalist after moving to Spain at the end of the 1980s, with a series of articles about the United Kingdom published by the Catalan magazine El Món. He has written from Barcelona, New York and Madrid for Cinco Días, Business Week, City Limits, I-D, Blueprint, The Guardian, The New Statesman, Ajo Blanco and The Nation (New York). La Vanguardia correspondent in New York from 2001 to 2008, he is now an itinerant correspondent for the same paper. He is the author of the blog Diario Itinerante and of the book Un reportero en la montaña mágica. His latest book is Off the road.
