KAMILA SHAMSIE is a Pakistani novelist and journalist who has received numerous awards, including the Prime Minister's Award for Literature for her first novel, In the City by the Sea. Her literary output, written in English, includes seven books that have been translated into more than twenty languages. Two of her novels, Kartography and Burnt Shadows, have been published in Spanish.
