(Bogota, 1975). The author of the novels Relato de Navidad en La Gran Vía, Walkman, Tic, Parece que va a llover, Fin, El hombre de los mil nombres, En orden de estatura, Autogol, Érase una vez en Colombia -including Comedia romántica and El Espantapájaros-, El libro de la envidia, Todo va a estar bien and Historia oficial del amor. His body of work also includes two collections of short stories, two poetry books, a couple of books that have no particular genre, a play called Domingo, an essay on Seneca's letters to Lucilio and the website www.ricardosilvaromero.com. He is a columnist for the newspaper El Tiempo and contributes to El País in Spain. In 2019 he won the 5th Colombian Fiction Library Prize for his novel Cómo perderlo todo. During the pandemic he published Río Muerto (2020), Zoológico humano (2021) and Cómo vivir en vano (2022). He has recently published an illustrated book, called Crucigrama, and an homage to Raúl Carvajal entitled El libro del duelo.
