Simon Reynolds is the author of Rip It Up and Start Again (published by Caja Negra as Postpunk. Romper todo y empezar de nuevo), Retromanía: La adicción del pop a su propio pasado, the rave chronicle Energy Flash, and the glam rock study Shock and Awe (published in Spanish as Como Un Golpe De Rayo). His most recent book Futuromanía is a collection of essays about electronic music and currently he’s writing the sequel to Rip It Up, a personal history of late Eighties / early Nineties underground rock. Born in London, now living in L.A., Reynolds teaches in the music school of the California Institute of the Arts, writes for magazines like The Guardian, Pitchfork, and The Wire, and blogs at Blissblog.
