Najat EL HACHMI

el-hachmi-najat Studied Arab philology at Universidad de Barcelona. As a writer she’s been awarded several prizes, in 2008 she received the Ramon Llull award for her novel “L’ultim patriarca” a story in which rupture with millenary tradition play an important role and she’s also the author of the essay “Jo també sóc catalana” (2004). This last is an autobiographical piece where she treats the subject of immigrant adaptation in Cataluyna, focussing on areas like culture, language and religion. Najat el Hachmi has collaborated with Catalunya Radio, La Vanguardia among others.
