Born in America, Francesca Simon was educated at Yale (Medieval Studies BA) and Oxford (Older Middle English) and was a journalist before becoming a children’s writer. She is an outspoken spokesperson on behalf of children’s literature and she receives in excess of 100 fan letters a week from readers. The Horrid Henry books have sold over 15 million copies.
Francesca lives in North London.
