Glenn began his writing career as a comics creator, in the innovative British comics scene of the eighties, devising the humour strip Temptation, and the autobiographical character, Abe. His work appeared in cult UK magazines such as Escape and Deadline, and Penguin Books published a collection of Temptation in 1991.
He went on to work for Marvel Comics (UK) writing for the superhero series Plasmer and Clan Destine. He also created the cartoon strip Robot Crusoe, which ran for eight years in the Funday Times.
In the late nineties he began writing children’s stories for Brilliant Books, including The Not-Yeti (an abominable snowman who puts everything off till tomorrow), and The Ghost Train Rides Tonight – an illustrated poem. He also wrote three short children’s novels, including The Frogspawn Code.
At this time he began working in Children’s TV, scripting for Bob the Builder (Hit Animation) and Shaun the Sheep (Aardman).
In 2001, Top Shelf publishing (U.S.) released his graphic novel: Abe – Right For All the Wrong Reasons, and in 2004 an American edition of Temptation was published by Active Images.
A regular contributor to children’s magazines, he has recently written a comic strip version of the Life of Roald Dahl and a Spider-Man series for Eaglemoss Publishing.
