Born Widnes, Lancashire. Psychotherapist and artist. Formerly lecturer in Sociology at London University. Founded Honest Jon’s Records, jazz and black music label (1975), now London’s longest running record business. Founder member of the Multi-lingual Psychotherapy Centre. Became interested in Social Dreaming after working with Gordon Lawrence and went on to run dreaming matrixes at the Hay festival in 2003 – 4. Carried out mass dreaming experiment in Hay in 2005, a chapter on which is featured in recently published book “Social Dreaming in the 21st Century – the World we have lost”, written with Ali Zarbafi. Published work includes ‘Samuel Beckett and Psychoanalysis’, introduction to multi-lingual psychotherapy and ‘Dreaming the Future’. Now works as a psychotherapist in private practice in Hay-on-Wye.
