Toumani Diabaté is widely acknowledged as Africa's greatest instrumentalist. The Malian virtuoso is the master of the kora - the 21 string West African harp - and guardian of a centuries-old classical tradition. He's known equally for his peerless rendering of traditional Mandé material, his boundary pushing work with his Symmetric Orchestra, and for genre-bending collaborations with Björk, Damon Albarn, and Taj Mahal to name but a few.
Toumani's brand new disc 'Ali and Toumani' is a duets album with the desert blues guitar legend Ali Farka Touré, and is the follow up to their GRAMMY winning album 'In the Heart of the Moon'.
