Cristina RIVERA GARZA

rivera-garza-cristina (Mexico, 1964) She has a doctorate in Latin American History and has published numerous books that have won with the most prestigious Mexican awards as well as others of international importance, such as the José Rubén Romero National Novel Prize, the 2001 Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize, the 2001 Juan Vicente Melo National Short Story Award and the 2005 Anna Seghers Award. Her works include Verde Shanghai (Tusquets, 2011), El mal de la taiga (Tusquets, 2012), Allí te comerán las turicatas (La Caja de Cerillos Ediciones, 2013) and Nadie me verá llorar (Tusquets, 2014). Recent publications include the second volume of her Dolerse series, Con/Dolerse (Sur+), Había mucha neblina o humo o no sé qué (Random House, 2016) and Los textos del yo (FCE, 2005). Her latest novel is El invencible verano de Liliana.
