(Buenos Aires, 1967) Argentinean writer. In the 1990s he started to write stories in which he expressed his great passion for football. His first novel, The Secret in Their Eyes (2011), made into a film, Secret in Their Eyes, won the 2010 Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Some of his published works have been: Papeles en el viento (Other Press, 2014) and La vida que pensamos (Alfaguara, 2014). He won the 19th Alfaguara Novel Prize for the book La noche de la usina.
