María DUEÑAS

María Dueñas (Puertollano, Ciudad Real, 1964) holds a doctorate in English Philology. After two decades in academia, she burst onto the literary scene in 2009 with El tiempo entre costuras (The Seamstress), a novel that became a publishing phenomenon and whose television adaptation by Antena 3 won her numerous awards and spectacular audience success. Her subsequent works, Misión Olvido (2012), Temperance (2015), Las hijas del Capitán (2018) and The Time In Between (2021), continued to captivate readers and critics alike. Translated into more than thirty-five languages ​​and with millions of copies sold worldwide, María Dueñas has become one of the most highly regarded authors in both Spain and Latin America.
