Joaquín COSÍO

(Mexico, 1962) Joaquín Cosío began his theatre work in the early 1980s, and is now a member of Mexico’s National Theatre Company. Cosío has worked with prominent Mexican directors such as David Olguín, Antonio Castro and Luis de Tavira and has recently finished Los Baños, written by Paul Walker and directed by Enrique Singer. His work for cinema began in 2000 with the film Una de dos, directed by Marcel Sisniega. In 2005 he was nominated for the Ariel Prize for the film Matando cabos, directed by Alejandro Lozano. He has also appeared in the Brazilian film Segurança Nacional, directed by Roberto Carminatti; Rudo y Cursi, with García Bernal and Diego Luna; and the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, his first film in English.
