(Guadalajara, Mexico, 1963) José Ignacio Solórzano, known as Jis, is a caricaturist and cartoonist. After leaving a degree in Communication Sciences to publish cartoons, he founded Galimatías, La Mano and the humour supplements La mamá del Abulón and Uno Chango pa el Chamuco. He has written and drawn Los manuscritos del Fongus, Sepa la bola and Los gatos no existen. He is also known for his famous comic strip El Santos, published in La Jornada and carried out with Trino. Currently his cartoons appear daily in Milenio Group newspapers and he participates, with Trino, on the radio programme La chora interminable, broadcast by Guadalajara University Radio. Two of his works are Diario (2008) and, with Trino, Asuntos moneros (2009). A recent solo work has been Sexo. A eso sabe la reina (2014).
