(Lima, 1968) Writer and communicator. He has published the novels La furia de Aquiles, La risa de tu madr (shortlisted for the Herralde Prize), La semana tiene siete mujeres (shortlisted for the Planeta-Casa de América Prize) and Cocinero en su tinta. He has also written a book of short stories, Trece mentiras cortas, and is the co-author of Ampay Peru and Ampay Mujer. The book Traducciones peruanas compiles ten years’ worth of articles published in the newspaper El Comercio de Lima. He has also contributed to the prestigious magazine Etiqueta Negra since its founding. He has won many awards for advertising creativity in Peru and abroad, and a number of his campaigns have mobilized his country. The National Education Council awarded him the Internet Journalism Prize in 2006. He has also been given the Indecopi Prize for his creative contribution to national development. He is the co-founder of Recreo, an organization that promotes reading in Peruvian schools. He has recently published República de La Papaya (2016), Te escribí mañana (2016) and Madrugada (2018).
