Carlos Granés is an essayist and author of El puño invisible, Salvajes de una nueva época and Delirio americano, among other books. He holds a doctorate in Anthropology from the Complutense University of Madrid. He currently edits Mario Vargas Llosa's journalistic works for Alfaguara and is a columnist for the newspapers ABC and The Objective. He has won two Simón Bolívar National Prizes in Colombia for his work as a columnist, and his books have been recognized with the Isabel Polanco International Essay Prize and the Open Bank Award from Vanity Fair. He is a member of the Colombian Academy of Language.
