Spanish writer and professor of Philosophy. He has written more than fifty works, including political, literary and philosophical essays, stories, and theatre, apart from hundreds of articles for the Spanish and foreign press. Some of his books have been translated into more than twenty languages. He possesses several honorary degrees from universities in Spain, Europe and America, as well as diverse awards and distinctions, among them the Order of Constitutional Merit of Spain, the Grand Cross of the Aztec Eagle, and he is a Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres of France. Savater has been a professor of philosophy during more than 30 years. Ethics for Amador, Politics for Amador and Questions of Life, through which he has tried to bring philosophy close to young people, have become authentic best sellers. His latest published books are Todo mi Ciorán and La peor parte: memorias de amor.
