(Mexico) This Mexican director andphotographer has achieved recognition for his first work Noticias Lejanas (2005) and for his film Nómadas (2010), and has also directed a number of short films anddocumentaries. As a director he has made 30 short films, 7 documentaries and 3features. Highlights of his career include the short films El llanto de la tierra (2008) and Aurora boreal (2007) and the documentary Los niños de Morelia (2004). He has been on the jury of filmfestivals in Montreal, Barcelona and Mar de Plata. He currently resides inXalapa, where he is head of the Department of Film at the Universidad Veracruzana.
