(Mexico, 1971) is a Mexican composer, singer, activist and producer, one of the most high profile Latin singer-songwriters in the world. In 1996 she began her career as a soloist with the BMG/Ariola label, releasing her debut album Aquí (1997) which, like Bueninvento (2000) was very well received by the Mexican public. Her next album Sí (2003) made her famous throughout Latin America and in Spain, receiving a number of prizes. In 2006 she released Limón y Sal, an album that would go platinum and bring even greater popularity in Latin America and parts of Europe. Her first live album MTV Unplugged (2008), with the Sony & BMG label, was also a success and received the diamond certification. Los Momentos is her latest album, released in 2013. In 2011 she was chosen as Cultural Goodwill Ambassador by the Consejo de Ministras de Las Mujeres de Centroamérica.
