Emiliano MONGE

Emiliano Monge is a writer. He has published the novels Morirse de memoria, El cielo árido (winner of the 28th Jaen Novel Prize and the 5th Otras Voces, Otros Ámbitos Prize), Las tierras arrasadas (winner of the 9th Elena Poniatowska Ibero-American Novel Prize and the English PEN Award), No contar todo (winner of the Bellas Artes Fiction Prize for Published Work), Tejer la oscuridad, Justo antes del final and Los vivos, as well as the short story collections Arrastrar esa sombra, La superficie más honda and, most recently, En lengua privada. His work has been translated into multiple languages ​​and recognized by the Hay Festival, the British Council, the Dublin Book Fair, the Guadalajara International Book Fair, the National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta), the Bogota International Book Fair, the PEN Foundation and the Borchard Center on Literary Arts, where he is a fellow. He is a member of the National Network of Artists, an advisory board member of Centroamérica Cuenta and a contributor to El País newspaper.
