(Colombia) General Manager of the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for the past three years, Baptiste was educated as a biologist at the Universidad Javeriana and has a Master’s degree in Latin American studies from the University of Florida. Baptiste works to integrate biological, social, economic and cultural activities to tackle the environmental crisis. An atheist, transgender person and columnist for La República, she has two daughters with her partner Adriana, as well as a cat. She expects to complete her doctoral studies in environmental science that she began in Barcelona in the year 2000 and which will be indispensable for taking up her lecturing position at the Universidad Javeriana when she completes her management term.
