Lionel SHRIVER

(United States, 1957) Journalist and writer. In 2005 she won the Orange Prize with her seventh novel: We Need To Talk About Kevin. In July of the same year, Shriver began to write articles for the British newspaper The Guardian, in which she shares her opinions about ways of seeing maternity in Western cultures and societies, the narrowness of the views of the British authorities and the importance of librariesIn 2014 she won the BBC National Short Story Prize. Her work has been translated into thirty languages. Launched in spring 2016, The Mandibles: A Family, 2029-2047 is her twelfth novel.
